Thanks for your question :)

Just about all the other kinds of lights are fine for computerized lighting displays.  The prelamped LED Christmas light sets, standard C7 and C9 Christmas bulbs and cords, mini lights, net lights, etc.

One thing to remember is that all the flashing on and off is hard on the lights and using them for a fabulous computerized lighting display will shorten their lifespan - approximately 50% or more depending on the quality of the lights.
